A Conversation with our Director of Operations

 

We recently sat down with Alison Daun, our Director of Operations who joined GC Partners back in 2007 when she was looking for a position within an international company that would allow her to work from Portugal, where she was living at the time.

Over the last 15 years, Alison has progressed from a Business Development Manager to the Director of Operations, managing multiple teams across the globe.

 

What have you learned throughout your time at GC Partners?

My time at GC Partners has taught me a lot, but the most important thing I’ve learned would be how important it is to surround yourself with a great team. When you’re working with a great team, the benefits are endless.

How has GC Partners supported you throughout your career?

I joined the business in 2003 as a Business Development Manager and have held multiple positions before being promoted to the Director of Operations. I am extremely grateful to GC Partners for the incredible opportunities and endless support.

What has kept you at GC Partners all this time?

The company vibe and business culture at GC Partners are fantastic, I really wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. The whole company is dedicated to serving our customers and providing them with a service that makes the company proud.

Is there one memory that stands out since you started at GC Partners? If so, what is it?

There have been so many incredible moments during my time with the business, from the yearly company seminars to office openings and more.

One of my favourite memories would be when we went to New York for a work seminar, there is a bar that rotates at the top of a building near Times Square. I was sitting there with one of my colleagues drinking a cocktail watching the snow fall over New York and that was a very special moment that I’ll never forget.

What do you think has contributed to GC Partners’ success in celebrating its 20th year of service?

We are so fortunate to be celebrating our 20 years of service this year and there is no doubt in my mind that we wouldn’t have made it this far if it wasn’t for our incredible employees and wonderful customers.

Our dedication to providing our unique service and the ways in which we work as a team to provide that service has created a culture and an environment that encourages the best from everyone and it clearly shows in our company growth and Trustpilot rating.

Would you encourage others to join GC Partners?
