We started GC Partners in 2003 as Global Currency Exchange Network Lt and over the last 20 years we have helped over 150,000 global customers’, from 100 countries, totalling £20 billion in transactions, per annum, in over 60 different currencies.
What started as a team of three and a Rolodex has now expanded into a global team, just shy of 100 employees, many of which have been with the business since the early days. Our one office has turned into six, including offices in Portugal, Dubai and Hong Kong.
CEO and Founder Martin Cox founded the business in 2003 after identifying a gap in the market when he was trying to transfer money himself and soon came a pioneer of foreign exchange.
Over the last 20 years he has led the international expansion of the business through changes in the market, a company rebrand and a global pandemic. Through all of that, the business only continues to grow at an exceptional rate – all thanks to the drive and the passion of our employees and their dedication to customer service.
Cox talks about the history of the business and how he ensures the business continues with an ethos he is proud of.
