We have a fantastic opportunity for a Safeguarding Reconciliations Analyst to join our busy and growing Safeguarding Team.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Safeguarding, as Safeguarding Reconciliations Analyst you will be a crucial member of the team who will be responsible for performing daily safeguarding reconciliation and assist the team in the management of multiple safeguarding functions to ensure the firm complies with PSR regulations.

Evolving in a rapidly changing environment, attention to detail, and technology adoptions to automate key processes will be key.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible to perform and ensure the daily safeguarding reconciliations are performed in a timely manner and to the highest of standards
  • Assist the Safeguarding team with the Intra-day and end-of-day funding activity
  • Assist in improving processes, maintain and increase reconciliation adaptability and suggest control enhancements
  • Manage automation work and assist in the implementation of new reconciliation tools
  • Support the Safeguarding team on both internal and external Audits
  • Update Safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Work closely with Backoffice, and business operations and get a good grasp of the cashflows
  • Support senior manager with ad-hoc tasks and regular critical metric dashboards
  • Continually develop skills and knowledge in line with business growth, expansion and regulatory changes
  • Assist in maintaining the breaches and issues log and support the team with discrepancy resolution, and escalation as well as ensuring actions are taken to eliminate and prevent recurrence of the identified root cause
  • Carry out due diligence of counterparty banks
  • Assist the Safeguarding team to deliver firm-wide controls and attestation programme
  • Assist in delivering high-quality Management information to the various committees and the board

Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum Undergraduate Degree
  • 2+ years’ work experience in reconciliations, ideally from a Payment Services/EMI firm
  • Highly numerate, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work through problems logically
  • Familiarity with the FCA Payment Services Regulations and or CASS
  • Strong Excel and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable with technology and technical rule interpretations
  • Knowledge of reconciliations, both automated and excel driven
  • An ability to articulate reconciliation issues both in verbal and written form to help aid swift resolution
